Description: This is a perennial creeping herb. Its leaf has a simple, alternate and kidney shape, with about 2 centimeters in diameter. It has very small violet flowers.

Indications: The fresh leaf, rich in carotenoids, vitamins B and C, is used as a treatment of sore throat, thirsty and antidiarrheal. It is used externally for burns and wounds. The plant ethanolic extract contains free amino acid.
 
Parts of Its Medical Uses:
a) Active constituents are used to stimulate tissue repairment.
b) It is externally used as anti-inflammatory cream for surgical wounds.
c) It is used as health tonic, in bronchitis and kidney troubles.
 
d) The plant is used for the treatment of leprosy and also to improve memory and the power of concentration.
