Description: It is a kind of tree of 10-15 meters high. Its leaf is alternate and elliptic shape. The flowers are greenish white inside and green outside. Both of its leaf and flower are aromatic. Fruit 2 1/2 to 3 1/4 inches in diameter is globular or ovoid in shape; the fruit is grayish brown, with its hard and smooth outside surface.










Indications: Its fruit possesses antiviral, anthelmintic and anti-inflammatory properties and has appreciable activity against Vibrio cholera and Salmonella. Its different parts and extracts possess a number of pharmacological properties. Its dried fruits are used in hot or cold drink.

Parts of Its Medical Uses:	a) Its dried unripe fruit is anthelmintic, hypoglycemic, antidiarrheal and antiviral.
	b) Its laxative ripe fruit promotes digestion.
	c) Its fruit helps in the healing of ulcerated intestinal surfaces.
	d) The extract from crushed leaf is used for the treatment of bronchitis.
	e) The root bark and stem is antimalarial.
